Dexter’s very own Michael C. Hall recently earned a Screen Actor’s Guild nomination for best actor for his portrayal of the serial killer with a conscience.

Dexter the show also picked up a nomination for best ensemble cast.

Both nominations were deserved. After all, playing a serial killer than viewers not only like but sympathize with is no easy task, and Hall has pulled it off for three seasons now. His supporting cast, most notably Julie Benz and Jennifer Carpenter, also play extremely likable, though flawed, characters.

The SAG awards will be handed out Jan. 25  in Los Angeles.

This announcement follows the news that Dexter is already up for a Golden Globe award. It’s funny, Season 3 was widely viewed as the show’s worst. But Dexter now is finally getting the honors it deserved for its stellar Season 1 and Season 2.
